| Big, bold, beautiful graphics,
smooth-flowing colors, copy and images--did we say big? Because our
Large Format Printing capabilities show you that when it comes to
powerful display graphics--bigger is better. And by combining digital
imaging technology with large format printers, it's never been easier to
get the crisp, sharp lines and bold colors that get noticed--directly
from the files you provide. Like any process, Large Format Printing
requires precision and attention to detail at every stage. The following
guidelines will ensure that your project meets your goals for quality
and timeliness-- without adding cost due to improper input.
Laying
Out Your Files
- Double check proportional size when the graphic output will be
larger than the art board you provide-- for example, a 30" x
90" output panel, set up at 50% scale, would create a 15"
x 45" file document.
Files
must be built at 25%, 50% or 100% of final size.
When
building photo mural panels, please build in bleed. If building at 25%
scale use 1/8" bleed, if 50% us 1/4" bleed and if 100% use 1/2" bleed.
When drawing vector elements, assign colors from a palette,
instead of "on the fly"--to enable us to edit colors
globally.
Resolution for images may be as low as 100 dpi at final size. Exceeding
200 dpi at final size is not recommended.
Save all photo images as .TIFFs. Do not compress .tiff files.
Be sure to convert all text to paths/outlines or include font
suitcase when needed.
Build your files using the appropriate color mode:
- Digital Inkjet - use CMYK
- Dye-Sublimation (for fabric) - use CMYK
- Lambda - use RGB
Specify critical colors as Pantone Solid Coated colors using the palettes available
within the vector layout/drawing application. Leave critical Pantone
color matches as PMS colors, do not covert the swatches to CMYK or RGB
equivalents.
